Pablo E. Perez, MD

Principal Investigator

Dr. Pablo E. Perez is an Internal Medicine Board Certified physician.  Dr. Perez completed his residency and training at Interfaith Medical Center affiliated with the State University of New York .  

He has been the president and funder of  St. Joseph Clinic, P.C. and attending physician at Hamilton Medical Center, in Dalton Georgia since 1999.

In addition to be the Director and investigator of Southeast Clinical Research Center, he provides leadership and oversight for the Scientific and Medical Affairs. 

Dr. Perez is recognized in the Northwest area of Georgia and Tennessee for his extensive experience with chronic care patients.

Prior to becoming a team member of SCRC he gained experience as a Principal Investigator for Omega Research Consultants LLC in Phase III and IV clinical trials studies focused on chronic medical conditions . He has served on numerous health community executive boards.

Dr. Perez enjoys playing soccer with his sons and spending time with his parents and family during his free time.

Clarena Salcedo, NP-C

Sub Investigator

Clarena received her education at Kennesaw State University . She has vast experience as a Nurse Practitioner in many areas including Family Practice, and Internal Medicine with an emphasis on preventative care and patient education.  She is a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioner. Clarena has been practicing with St Joseph Clinic, P.C. since July 2015.  

She holds current GCP, IATA and  C-SSRS certifications.

She enjoys learning and she has training on aesthetics.

Photography is one of her hobbies and loves traveling the world.

Alma Y. Carmona

Clinical Research Coordinator

Alma has a Degree of Physician Surgeon and Obstetrician from  (Catholic University of Monterrey, Mexico: UDEM).

She successfully completed the USMLE steps I and II.

She has participated in the planning, coordination, and implementation of complex investigator-initiated, industry-sponsored, and cooperative group clinical research studies involving human subjects. Alma holds GCP, IATA and  C-SSRS certifications.

Prior to joining SCRC Alma worked at Omega Research Maitland, LLC (Formerly Omega Research Consultants, LLC) as a  Study Coordinator where she gained valuable experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

Some of the studies she has successfully completed are:

  • Diabetes Mellitus 

  • Crohn's Disease 

  • Ulcerative colitis

  • Live Disease (NASH, Liver impairment)

  • Endometriosis

  • Uterine Fibroids

  • Clostridium Difficile Vaccine 

  • Chronic Kidney Disease.

  • Rheumatoid arthritis 

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

    When not coordinating clinical trials Alma loves to exercise, spend time with family and friends.

Miriam Lemon

General Manager

Mrs. Lemon studies in Accounting and Finance at Liceo Frances in Guatemala and Orage Cost Colleger in California prepared her as a business leader. She has 20 years of experience building and developing businesses and effectively managing new and complex projects. She provides broad knowledge and deep expertise for Southeast Clinical Research Center  SCRC.

She has developed business and organizational design plans and has executed these in all phases of organizational maturity.

She has dedicated much of her career to guiding and leading high-performing medical teams.  St Joseph Clinic, P.C. is one success story as she has been driving significant business results for over 15 years through healthy growth – thoughtfully, strategically.

She is the founder of the non-profit organization of Love in Action Mission (www.loveinactionmission.org). Leading for more than ten years medical and dental volunteer teams in International missions. 

In her free time, you will find her enjoying family time, nature, and planning medical relief to impoverished communities of Guatemala and Peru.
